We do not choose our life, but we can choose to defy its swallowing storms and stand still amidst its rage.
This year has been a whirlwind—blessings and battles entwined. From collaborations with ministries to invitations from the presidential palace, from the honor of seeing my work recognized by the Prime Minister and Ministry of Tourism to the fulfillment of sharing Lebanon’s first online photo-based touristic reference—every step of this journey was one I hiked, traveled, and captured with my own footsteps. Along the way, I explored hundreds of new places, each holding a story waiting to be told when time allows. Yet, beyond the achievements that adorned my turbulent year, the greatest gift was the beautiful souls who became part of my journey through IG and social media, turning moments of solitude into shared experiences.
If I were to reflect on this year, it would be nothing less than this photo—an outrageous storm, swirling me in every possible direction, pulling me into the depths of struggle and melancholy.
Overwhelmed by countless difficulties, weighed down by indescribable traumas and endless responsibilities, I often found myself drifting. But in those moments, when life pressed hardest, I sought refuge in the only places that never failed me—in the embrace of my Lord and the boundless serenity of Nature, painted so beautifully across our magnificent Lebanon.
The more life tried to wear me down, the more I escaped to the lands and valleys where love is felt, and peace is restored.
Every flowing river carried away my sadness, and every dew drop dried my tears.
Every sunrise illuminated my weary soul, and every sunset washed away my anguish.
Every soft breeze whispered comfort to my pain, and every strong wind held me firm when I wavered.
Every rustling tree silenced the screams of my soul, and every bird’s chirp echoed in my being.
Every massive wave reminded me that no hardship is eternal, no devastation unending.
Every raging storm, no matter how fierce, is destined to subside.
Looking at my photo, I can’t help but glorify His name—for the glimpse of hope at the horizon He always reveals to those who believe. Looking back at this year, I can only bow to His mercy, His presence in every perilous moment.
I have felt love. I have felt kindness and tenderness. I have been touched in ways beyond words. And in my darkest hours, when my soul felt shattered, you—my IG family—have lifted me, drawn smiles on my face, and reminded me of the goodness in this world.
To you, the ones I may not know personally but cherish immensely, thank you. Thank you for being here, for every message, every kindness, every silent presence that meant more than you know.
With love and gratitude, I wish each of you endless blessings in 2020. Cheers to you, to my precious family and friends, and to a brighter, kinder, and stronger year ahead. 🥂♥️
